As we have talked about in the Open Your Mind section, Divine Light only ‘thinks’ in the positive, the first step in having a conversation with your Divine Soul is understanding how It says ‘yes’.  We have also talked about how the question is the answer wanting to reveal itself to you in the entry Power of Asking the Right Question.   So, it stands to reason, that it’s a good thing for you to know how to perceive the ‘yes’ response that your Divine Soul gives to the questions you ask. 

What gets in the way of hearing the ‘yes’ from our Divine Soul is all the things we do to make sure we aren’t listening.  It’s not so much what you do, but in what measure you do it.  The trouble is when we do TOO MUCH of any one thing and we don’t take the time to listen.  In the end, it is just a defense mechanism because we are afraid of getting out of our head and into our heart.

How to hear the ‘yes’ is a little elusive to talk about since each person has their own way of communicating with their Divine Soul and vice versus.  I can however give you some general indicators that you can use in learning the language of your Divine Soul.

1. •A 'yes' response will always carry a sense of expansion to it. 
   

2. •The stronger the 'yes', the stronger the sense of expansion it will carry.
   

3. •A 'no' response will  carry either a sense of non-movement or contraction to it.
   

It is through the degree of response you feel, whether an expansion of the 'yes' response or a non-movement or contraction of a 'no', that you can begin to discern a kind of vocabulary.  At the beginning, you want to look for the opposites:  yes... and no.

Later, you will begin to discern the different degrees of 'yes' and start understanding which movement fits the following:

1. yes...
   

2. sure...
   

3. sort of...
   

4. maybe...
   

5. close but no cigar....
   

6. keep going....
   

7. you're getting close...
   

8. closer....
   

9. YAY!!!! YOU'RE SINGING WITH THE ANGELS NOW!
   

In general, no is no.  It is the 'yes' which interests you because this is the response which will guide you. 

So, how do you actually feel the sense of expansion?  Most people feel it in a physical way, usually in the form of a vibration, a sense of movement or a gut feeling.  I have one client who feels heat in her fingertips.  Another client feels it as a tingling in his scalp.  Each person is different.

I first started feeling the 'yes' as a sense of expansion in the area of my heart.  As my vocabulary grew, I next learned the big 'yes' was when I got goose bumps all over.  This was where the angels all stood up cheering in the British accents of My Fair Lady saying, “By Jove, she's got it.  She's really got it.  Well done, old girl!”  What can I say?  My Divine Soul has always been able to get my attention better through humor.  That was twenty some odd years ago.  Now, there is a full vocabulary in place and is constantly growing every day.  Eventually, you will be able to speak telepathically with your Divine Soul and won’t have to rely solely on the physical sensations.

In the Divine Vibrations  lessons, you will also be exposed to different ways to apply this ability of hearing the 'yes' from your Divine Soul.  Like exercise with any muscle, if you don't use it, it will atrophy.  So, open up the conversation with your Divine Soul.  It might feel a bit like that kid's game where one is blindfolded and he needs to get across the room using only the indications given by his partner.  His partner is using only “Beep, beep, beep” sounds and the blindfolded kid has to interpret what the bleeps mean.  Once he does though, he quickly moves with confidence through any obstacle course even with a blindfold on.

You will feel a similar sense of expansion and openness when you release something to the Divine Light vibration.  If you don’t feel the sense of expansion, you haven’t really released it.; it’s a good indication that your head is still hanging on and you need to go deeper into your heart space.

EXERCISE:

1. 1.State something you know is true and ask your Divine Soul if it is true.  Listen to the response.
   

2. 2.State the opposite – something you know is false.  Listen to the response.
   

3. 3.One should have given you a feeling of expansion, the other a sense of non-response.
   

4. 4.If that doesn't work, try it with something else until you do feel the difference in the response.  Remember to have patience; you're learning a new language.
   

Mind you, I did meet one person who was so afraid of listening within for the fear of meeting the devil himself, she never got a 'yes' response to anything.  When I asked her to do whatever prayer of protection she needed to do, using her own religious language, it was a whole different ball game afterwards.  She felt the 'yes' and 'no' right away. 

You will hear this over and over from me: all of the information you will find on this website will work to the degree that you are willing for it to work.  No more.  No less.  Isn't that cool?  It's whatever you choose.
