Our body was created to express the Divinity of all of creation. It is a miracle of life in itself. We know this instinctively, and it shows, whenever we see new born children.
Take a moment to contemplate how quickly an infant will slide from one emotion to the next. The concept of ‘will power’ hasn’t yet been developed in his psyche, so he hasn’t learned to hold back and push down on the emotional vibrations he is experiencing. Nor has he learned to express them in unhealthy ways.
As we got older, we got ‘potty trained’ on a lot of levels. Through our ‘social conditioning’, we learned to place a social value on them. Some were considered ‘good’, some were considered ‘bad’. A lot depended upon the fear based belief systems of our parents, teachers, society, friends. Thus, we learned to either intellectually process many of our emotions, which is one way of repressing them, or to hold them in rather than actually allow ourselves to feel all of them. This goes for both the happy ones as well as the sad ones.
In short, we learned to use our bodies as a storage bin for all the unexpressed and repressed emotions we didn’t know what to do with. In the process, we ‘clogged’ up the system of our body’s natural functioning.
Our bodies have a relentless innate drive to carry us in the Divine Light, the Light that it knows so well. It does so to the best of its ability, according to the degree that we allow it. Even with all the emotional baggage we stored along the way, our body does its best to keep its functioning abilities strong, despite the overload we stuff down into it. If we overtax it, then it will first gently communicate that to us by signs of discomfort. If we ignore those first signs, then it will communicate with us even louder with specific symptoms of distress. If we still refuse to pay attention and continue to overload with excess dense emotional baggage, it will give us the strongest wake up call it knows through full blown illnesses.
It is through our bodies that we can hear the stirrings of our Divine Soul as it speaks to us. The clearer the channels in our bodies, the easier it is to hear our Divine Soul. This is why it is so important to clear out old emotions stored in our bodies and why it is so important to feel our feelings rather than continue to keep them pushed down.
Now, this doesn’t mean that you need to let all your emotions rip wide open in one huge uncontrollable tidal wave of social misbehavior. Especially the angry ones that raise their heads, bare their teeth and give out a roar before clawing the object of their anger to shreds. Those angry ones, you need to channel in a constructive manner. Count to ten, take a run, do some artwork, anything that will stop you from doing something harmful to yourself and the object of your anger. Once you calm back down, however, definitely give it to the vibration of Divine Light for transformation into illumination so the core issue behind the anger gets transformed. In transforming the core issue of any emotion, you’ll also be transforming all of the old emotions connected to it, which have been stored in your body from its conception.
Plus, here’s a biggie: you won’t have to keep recreating the situations designed to push those old emotional buttons in order to bring the core issue to your attention. Both your body and your Divine Soul WANT you to release the core issues behind old emotions stored in your body. It frees up space for your body, as well as your consciousness, to move into more refined states of being able to express, receive, give and transmit the vibration of Divine Love.
The good news is you don’t have to wait for a fresh reminder of an old hurt, an old anger, an old sense of shame nor a reminder of an old adrenaline rush of fear to release earlier emotions you’ve stored in your body. You can do a generic release and allow your Divine Soul to pick and choose which ones will be the most effective to release at that given point of your growth.
Here’s how you do it (this should sound very familiar to you by now if you’ve been going through the lessons one by one):
•Start with the Basic Activation of the Divine Light Vibration. This meditation is also available in podcast format. When you feel that you are centered and calm, declare: “I release any old emotions stored in my body which no longer serve me. I release them to the Divine Light Vibration for transformation into illumination.”
•Rest in this and allow the activation. You should feel some kind of expansion. If you don’t, then you’re not really releasing and allowing. The more you do this from a heart space, rather than an intellectual point of view, the more effective it is.
•Then see your entire body being filled with Divine Light from the center of your heart. Even though you have done this during the basic activation, it’s very important to fill yourself with the vibration of Divine Light once you’ve asked for the transformation because the sense memory recall in your body will search for the familiar density since that is what you have taught it to know. When you re-fill yourself with the vibration of Divine Light, your body’s sense memory recall takes that on board.
As you start releasing old emotions stored in your body to the vibration of Divine Light for transformation into illumination, you’ll notice some very interesting things that can happen. Remember, your Divine Soul is guiding this process so what happens will vary depending upon the moment, the degree of your focus and attention plus where you are in your growth process.
• You’ll probably feel a sense of relief rather quickly as the old densities are transformed, freeing up space in your body for more refined vibrations. As always, the time frame depends upon your willingness to allow the changes and release to occur. Once you do release any old emotions stored in your body, and have refilled yourself with Divine Light, pay attention to the sensations you feel. As you move along in your process, you will naturally become more attuned to these sensations and changes. It’s fun when you get to the point when you actually feel a specific area of your body become lighter as the density of the old emotion gets released. That can happen on your first go or it might come to you later down the road.
• Memories attached to those old emotions - ones you had even forgotten - may come into your conscious awareness and they will play out in your mind as if you were watching a film. You won’t be attached to them in the same way as you were when they were first happening to you. If you don’t hang on to them, and if you are willing to no longer identify with them as a personal definition of who you are, all sorts of wondrous emotional healing can occur. This is especially true if you ask for illumination while you’re watching them flow by. I will always remember a somatic release of old adrenaline that I had stored in my body from an experience that was rather miraculous and filled with joy. It was from when I was in a car accident and saw everything in its Divine Light form for the first time as an adult. I wrote about it in the lesson on the Principle Divine Light is Equally Everywhere Present. Imagine my surprise when I was doing a generic release and that experience came up for me. I never dreamt that there was something I needed to actually release from it. To me, it was always a fantastic memory. Yet, as it was playing out like a film in front of me, I suddenly burst into tears. I never felt them coming. I didn’t resist them, nor did I try to understand them since they just didn’t make logical sense. I just let them flow. It wasn’t until afterwards that I understood how that was my body’s way of releasing all of that pent up adrenaline from so long ago. It took about thirty minutes for the process to finish and I never did get all of the mascara out of my tee shirt. But, afterwards, I felt so light, it felt like I was actually floating. It was a major cool experience!
•Another possibility is your Divine Soul could guide you while you are still in meditation to go ahead and express that old emotion to the people involved. This could be any emotion from held in hurt or anger to unexpressed love. Expressing it in meditation can be a very powerful aid in your releasing of the old emotion. One technique that I like is to invite the person or people involved to sit around a golden flame of Divine Light. Allow the Divine Light from this golden flame to surround all of you. Then, with your Divine Soul guiding, speak your piece and express your emotion to the person or people involved. Allow them to respond in turn. Continue this process until you (collectively) have found understanding, forgiveness and peace between you. As we have talked about, forgiveness is one of the most effective alchemical transformations of old densities.
•If you feel your body cramping up, then just do your best to relax into it and keep giving it to the vibration of Divine Light until you feel it is passing. This is a similar dynamic to the exercise I gave you of holding your fist tight in the Vibrational Voyages lesson on the Principle Pain Comes From Resistance. I’ve linked it for you, but if you go there now, you’ll have to make your way back here on your own. You’re in the Activating the Alchemy section of the website. Once you feel the movement has reached its peak and is receding, then do just the opposite movement. In other words, if the release of the old emotion makes you curl up, then stretch out your body. If your shoulders tense up against your neck, the stretch them out the other way. Just like you did with your hand in that exercise. This cramping is just the signal that your body is letting go.
Then again, you might not notice anything in particular at the time of the release, but you will notice it in time. Every day for about a year, I released any old emotions that no longer served me to the vibration of Divine Light for transformation into illumination. One day, I felt that I had finished the process and asked my Divine Soul if this was true. I got a very strong ‘yes’. That’s when all sorts of new illuminations starting coming in, but that’s another story for another day.
