If you can wrap your head around the concept that you are a conscious being, living in a conscious universe, then you are well on your way to understanding on deep emotional levels that everything is in a constant state of change. You are also well on your way to leaving behind the psychological need to understand in advance of recognizing your Truth. In fact, intellectual understanding follows recognition, not the opposite. It’s enough to remember how you learned basic arithmetic in grammar school. If you didn’t first recognize the concept of the numbers one and two, you were never going to get the concept that 1+1=2.
If you can wrap your head around all of that, then you are almost home free in understanding how the alchemy of transformation functions when you are activating the vibration of Divine Light.
We have talked about how listening to your Divine Soul is so important because this is the 'channel' or the 'voice' which connects you to remembering how consciousness is always in a state of evolution. We have also talked about how this invisible substance of Divine Light – this Infinite Intelligence, Omniscient Wisdom and Unconditional Omnipotent Love – is equally everywhere present in all things, including yourself.
So why is it that we get caught up in thinking anything is 'fixed' and then respond with emotional resistance when it changes? It is our desire to feel 'in control', which is born out of the fear of the unknown and which creates this dynamic. That’s also the same fear which leads us to trying to put infinity into a box. We'll talk more about transforming fears in upcoming lessons. For now, let's take a look at how we can intellectually discern this Principle that all of creation is in a constant state of change.
Look at nature around you. A flower changes every moment of its life. You see the four seasons come and go. You see changes in the weather day by day. You see erosion of the soil, the movement of dust, the industry of insects, the falling of leaves, the growth of leaves. The changes in nature are non-stop.
If you live in the city and are surrounded by concrete, you can still observe the changes around you. The sidewalks which get dirty or get cleaned, the paint on the buildings that slowly fades in the sunshine, the changes in the air on a windy day or the increase in pollution on hot summer days. Change is everywhere.
As are the changes within your consciousness always in a state of evolution. You might not notice it on a minute by minute basis, but it is enough to look back over a larger period of time and it is easy to notice the changes which have occurred in yourself. If you don't see it, expand the time frame until you do. I have never met a single person who can say they express themselves the same way today as they did, say, when they were six months old.
If you are with me thus far, then let's keep going. Otherwise, take a moment to contemplate a situation that you currently believe has not changed and cannot change. Flirt with the concept that maybe, just maybe, it has gone through some change... and if it has gone through change, what would those changes have been? Remember, that just like the huge rocks in mountains all over the world that seem unchanged through time, they are not the same formations they were even as little as one hundred years ago. It goes without saying that not everything changes at the same rate. If you still can't wrap your head around this and find yourself resisting, then let it go, ask for illumination and then go do something else. Go play a video game, read a book, call a friend, go to a chat room, go back to work, take a walk... just go do something else, give it space and come back if and when you are ready.
For the rest of us, let's move on and take a look at this from a Divine Vibration point of view.
We have learned that all things are in a state of vibration. Some vibrations are dense, some are refined in nature. They all respond to one another and, in the interaction, create still another vibration. An example of this would be in music. The note re has one vibration while the note fa has another. When they come together, they create a chord which resonates with still another vibration made up of the first two. So, 1 + 1 = 3. One vibration plus one vibration makes three vibrations: the two individual vibrations and their collective vibration. That chord comes together with other notes and chords and you've created beautiful music. Well, either that or something that is so filled with discord, it makes you want to cover your ears and grimace.... or, something in between. In whichever case, that creation is in a constant state of change as it moves into its peak or out of its peak and towards another state of being. This is true for everything under the sun.
Why is it that some notes resonate better together than others? The answer is the resonation of their vibration. There is a constant attraction and repulsion between different vibrations going on at all times. Two notes which might not create a pleasing resonance for you can be put together with a third note and their combined vibrations create a whole different effect. The notes are neutral in themselves. It is your vibratory response to them, and your interpretation of that vibratory response, that determines if you find them pleasing or not. If you'd like a concrete example of this, play some music from another country or culture. That music exists because it is pleasing to enough people to give it concrete substance in the collective consciousness of the group. You may find it to be horrendous to your ears because your vibration isn't attuned to it. If you listen to it long enough, however, you will eventually discover what it is that others found to be pleasing.
Why? Because everything is in a constant state of change and creation, just like the two notes, when put together, make three vibrations. In addition, all parts of the collective whole are constantly shifting to stay in balance with the rest of the whole. That 'staying in balance' might manifest itself in moving towards or moving away from a certain vibration or collective dynamic.
When we talk of Divine Vibrations in general, it sometimes helps to put them into a simple linear module, keeping in mind that infinity goes in all directions at once so I'm taking some poetic license here. The ones closest to the Original Light Source Vibration are more expansive and refined in nature. The ones furthest away, are more dense in nature.
To look at the alchemy of these vibrations from a different point of view, there are two basic kinds of vibrations;
1.Those which expand and grow and...
2.Those which contract and make an effort to attack and consume a more expanded, or ‘lighter’ vibration, usually the ones closest to them. I call these vibrations the “gobblers” because, when they get going, they like to gobble up everything in sight until they have gorged themselves full. Once they're full, they'll calm down for a while until the next gobbling spree. This is because, vibration-ally, they look outside themselves for their nutrients, rather than pulling their nutrients from the fountain of infinity found within. (Sounds like some people we know, right?) The only way they really end up changing their nature is when they are so surrounded by the expansion vibration, the small attribute of the expansion vibration in their essence gets activated and grows. In effect, the percentage of their makeup shifts and their nature slowly gets transformed from a 'gobbler' one into an expansion mode of being.
Now, remember, Divine Light only knows creation so both kinds of vibrations are creating something in their own way. Destruction is a form of creation as the old transmutes and transforms into the new. We see this manifest itself on a cellular level in the form of cancers which attack healthy cells in order to feed themselves. We also see it in how the vibration of our body's digestive system attacks and consumes the food we eat for its nutrients. In actual fact, the vibrations here in our third dimensional earth experience contain a percentage of both. Their 'behaviors' depend upon the percentage of each type of vibration they have in their collective make up.
These dynamics are also active and present in our emotional worlds. Emotions such as love and happiness, for example, are principally expansion vibrations; you want to share them with the entire world. At the other end of the spectrum, anger and pain are 'gobbler' vibrations which endeavor to overpower and consume the object of its anger, ie: other vibrations outside of themselves. Depression, which is unexpressed anger turned inward, is a 'gobbler' vibration which will literally eat away at its host.
Each of these vibrations, in their own way, are inherently endeavoring to move closer to their Original Light source. The only difference is the expansion vibration already knows its Divine Light source and knows it gets fed directly from that Divine Light source and thus expresses itself in a more refined manner. Meanwhile, the consuming attack vibration moves in a misguided attempt to get closer to the Divine Light source by trying to feed off of the more refined ‘gobbler’ vibrations closest to it. We'll talk about this more in the next lesson.
Since all Principles manifest in a matter of degree, you can observe these same dynamics which occur within yourself being manifested on larger scales in human relations all the way from two individuals to the world stage and its political forums. This, too, is the subject for another lesson so, for now, we shall keep the conversation on a personal level between yourself and... yourself.
EXERCISE:
1.Go sit in a public place – a train station, a bus stop, a park bench with people around you, a restaurant, or any place where there is a movement of people – and observe the attraction and repulsion of their movements as they interact, or avoid interaction, with each other.
2.The next time you are sitting around chatting with friends, observe the body language of the people around you. They will instinctively change posture to stay in alignment with the others around them. If you want to 'experiment' with this, introduce a big 'change' in the balance by making a dramatic change in your own body language. Then, observe how, organically one by one, the others will instinctively change their bodies to maintain the balance of the group.
3. Write down your observations in your journal. Writing things down helps you to focalize your thoughts.
4.If you really want to pump up the learning, do the Basic Activation of the Divine Light Vibration before you go out and observe how change is all around you. I‘ve also linked the podcast for you. Remember that you are in the Open Your Mind section of the website if you want to come right back here.
